Did you realize that YouTube has over 2.4 BILLION videos viewed each month? Thats billion with a capital B! Its also been reported that the average US internet user spends a little over 3 hours a week watching online videos. And if you narrow your view down to just the 12-25 year olds, that number almost doubles. According to Alexa.com, which keeps a ranking system of all websites on the internet, the percentage of global internet users who visit youtube.com on a daily basis is 20%. That means that 1 out of every 5 people who use the internet on any given day go to YouTube.com.

Now just stop and think for a moment about what they are spending all that time watching? The number one video of all time at the moment on YouTube is a video called the Evolution of Dance which comprising nothing more than a middle aged man doing 6 minutes of different dancing to music. And get this, its been viewed (as of the time of this writing) 74,838,271 times!!! Wow. How amazing is that? Now to me, those type of numbers grab my attention and say to me that we need to grab a piece of that action.

So thats what we did. At the ROC, we started putting all the videos that we produced for Sunday morning services online on Youtube. Granted, we are still in the beginning stages of our media development skills here but that has not stopped our drive to make the name of Jesus famous in every arena that we can.

Now I think that it is time for your church or ministry to start putting videos on YouTube. It is EXTREMELY easy to do and completely free. Can’t beat that. For a full tutorial, I am going to send you to youtube.com’s how to page. Have fun! And remember, it may take a while to get a following online or for people to stumble across your videos, so don’t give up!

Oh yeah, and since I know that you are dying to see that Dance video, here it is:
